A state is known for its cities, and the first thing that comes to mind when you hear of Gujarat is Ahmedabad. The best city to live in according to the Times of India poll in 2012, Ahmedabad is known for almost everything under the sun; the landscape, cuisines, festivals and many other things. Sabarmati Ashram

Kankariya Lake (Talav)

Located in the Maninagar area in the southern part of the city, the Kankaria Lake is the heart of every citizen of Ahmedabad. You do not need to visit a zoo, amusement park, balloon rides, and water parks separately as you get all these under the single roof of this lake. Spread over 2.25 km, this 15th century structure recently underwent a complete revamp and since then has become a destination attracting humungous footfalls every day. A kids playing zone (Balvatika), toy trains, food stall, you name it and its there at Kankariya.


Hutheesing Jain Temple

If spirituality is the word for you, this is your destination. This 18th century Jain temple was then built at a hugecost of 8 Lakh INR. Housing 11 deities in its two storey structure, the temple is adorned with 52 shrines (devakulika) each of them having an image of a Tirthankara (Guru of the Jains).
