City Museum in Ahmedabad is the most visited museum in the city and was built by French architect. It exhibits important aspects of Ahmedabad and some of its achievements. There are collection of medieval coins, land documents and scripts of Devnagiri. 


The museum is beautifully built  that attracts huge number of tourists towards it. Calico Museum of Textiles in Ahmedabad is one of the finest ones in the world.  Founded by Ms. Gira Sarabhai, the museum exhibits enormous collection of fabrics that were collected centuries ago. The museum is bordered with lush greens and fountains making it worth spending time in.

The Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad was once the base camp of Mahatma Gandhi during his freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi founded this ashram in 1915, and it still continues to give the glimpse of historic periods it saw. It houses some handicraft, handmade paper, and spinning wheels that can hold your breath for a while. Walking through the ashram will take you  to 3 art galleries, library and a book store.
